Let’s Find How to Make Your Ideas a Reality

Get In Touch

We know there are many questions you would like to ask your contractor. Here are a few to get you started. If you still have questions, or are ready to start your project, please give us a call!

How do we determine a cost for my project?

We need to know as much as we can about your dreams and goals for your project, and what you’d like to accomplish. We’ll talk about any specific material preferences or fixtures you would like to use. We’ll use that information to formulate ideas for your project.

If the scope of the project changes during construction, how do you determine the additional fees?

We provide you with an estimate of the cost of the change. This is determined by estimating actual costs of the materials, labor and sub-contractors, and adding the same percentages for the architectural and construction fees as was used on the base contract.

Can I find out how long my project will take?

We will create a time line after we obtain all necessary information. Based on your project and scope we will develop a schedule of work to be done. You’ll receive a copy of the written schedule so that you will know exactly what to expect

Should I hire a contractor before I design my building?

Not everyone does, but our experience tells us that it’s probably a good call.

How do I find out what zoning, design, and signage regulations apply to a site?

Contact the city or county government, whichever has jurisdiction over the site.

What is the warranty on your buildings?

MK General Contractors offers at least a 1 year, 100 percent warranty on everything inside a building. Some features (such as the roof and mechanical and electrical equipment) have longer warranty periods. We can discuss the specific warranty for your project and its components when we are in the development process.

What will heat and power costs be?

This varies a great deal depending on the level of investment in HVAC systems, electrical lining and insulation among other things. It also depends on the amount of power consumption within a building.

Is there a standard calculation to use when trying to calculate the building costs of commercial project or Custom home?

No. Each project is unique and has different associated costs.
